Kongsi Raya, also known as “Gongxi Raya,” is a Malaysian term, denoting the Chinese New Year and Hari Raya Aidilfitri festivals cojoined. This unique event, occurring approximately every 32 years, brings together Malays and Chinese, fostering cultural exchange and unity. Focusing on concept of interconnection, this greeting kit celebrates cultural diversity and unity. With activities such as giving Angpao, visiting relatives, playing fireworks, engaging in childhood games, and food sharing contribute to the festive spirit of Kongsi Raya, creating a joyous and harmonious celebration. It
conveys messages of integration in a unique and heartfelt way.
Idea and Concept
My greetings kit aims to promote the spirit inclusivity and respect, celebrating the beauty of cultural diversity and unity. Drawing inspiration from various cultures, this kit delivers messages of inclusivity and integration in a unique and heartfelt manner. By incorporating elements such as Angpao, Raya Biscuits Stickers, and a Kongsi Raya version of Monopoly, we seek to create meaningful connections and spread the message of harmony and understanding. This thoughtfully curated kit embodies the essence of cultural celebration and encourages the building of a more inclusive and compassionate society, ultimately fostering deeper connections and a sense of unity among individual from diverse backgrounds.
